Homecoming and Burning of the M

Every year in October our teachers tell us to bring our old rags or clothing that we don't need anymore so that we can tie them to the poles for the burning of the M. So people bring them to schools for a couple of weeks and before we know it the night comes when we gather around and watch the M burn. The following weekend or weekend before the burning of the M we plan a couple weeks before and starts getting anxious about a Homecoming date.

Girls go out and pick theirs dresses, search for shoes, ask what hair style would look good and find pretty jewelery to wear with their dress. The guys have it easy they can get a simple plain colored shirt that matches the girls dress and a matching tie and be ready in about an hour. They probably just take a shower, spike their hair and spray some cologne on and can be ready to go, simple as that. Yet it takes girls hours to apply make up and do their most prized possession... Their hair. Yet we wonder why this night is so important but the night is full of good music, good food, when you take your date out, and its fun to dance.

Before the dance we attend a home football game to cheer on our football players. It would be quiet the disappointment if we didn't win the game. We normally have a theme for the football game either black out, white out or red and gold. Normally for Homecoming we would probably have a red and gold game to show our school colors and Indian spirit. So we dress us in all the red and gold clothing we have possible and maybe paint our faces or body and gear up for the football game. We cheer on our team and hope they win. After the game is over we lay in bed that night and think about the next day and how we are so excited.

Try to make your conclusion stronger by summarizing your thesis. Also when thinking about these rituals as an outsider don't take for granted the details of dating, football, etc.
